The monarch’s coronation ceremony was the longest ever to be held in Cambodia.
Khmer culture celebrates its founding and its power.
But the coronation also symbolizes a long journey and the rise of a new dynasty.
The coronation was not the most important moment of the day.
It was the coronations first day on the road, as it was the time the royal family and the king left the capital, Phnom Penh.
The king, who has been in power since 1976, took a five-day break to rest in the capital of Phnom Pah to recuperate after a difficult tour.
The king has been out of the country since April 24.
He was in Thailand on a trip to Thailand, where he is vacationing with his daughter and grandson.
In a video posted to his official Facebook page, Khmer King Bhumibol said he was grateful to the Cambodian people for their support, saying he has always felt safe with their support.
