Orlando, Fla.
— Authorities said Friday that they have recovered body parts of two men suspected of killing 58 people in a shooting at a Florida music festival.
A body was discovered Saturday near the entrance of a parking lot at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Orlando, where a shooting had occurred early Friday morning.
Authorities said that two men had been identified by the FBI as Omar Mateen, 26, and his 29-year-old partner, who they identified as Omar Mir Seddique Mateen.
A third man, believed to be a friend of Mateen who was not identified, was also killed in the shooting.
Authorities said they found two bodies inside the hotel parking lot and that the suspects were found in a vehicle parked in a separate location.
Officials said they were working to determine if any of the bodies had gunshot wounds, but no further information was immediately available.
The Associated Press reported that Mateen and Mir Sddique Mateengie, who police described as the suspects’ son, were married, have three children and live in a home in Fort Pierce, Florida.
The AP said the two had recently moved to Florida.
Authorities identified the third man as a man they did not know.
They said the suspect was taken into custody Friday afternoon in Fort Myers, Florida, about 120 miles (190 kilometers) north of Orlando.
He was not immediately identified.
